Everest Via Gokyo Ri Trek 18

Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Lakes trek is one of the best trekking in Nepal. This fascinating trekking combines exploring wonderful Gokyo Valley then a challenging Cho La pass to Everest Base Camp
Exploring the local cultures and living style of the locals from Everest region, collecting the picturesque views of mountains including Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Makalu, Mount Cho- Oyu makes Everest via Gokyo Lakes Trek a perfect trekking in Everest Region. Plus, exploring the flora and faunas of Sagarmatha National Park adds more fun and excitement on the trekking. 

The best trekking seasons for Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Lakes are spring (March-May) and Autumn(September-November).

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel: Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport one of our representative will welcome you and will transfer to the hotel. Get refreshed from the jetlag in free time. Overnight at hotel. 
Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing: A guided fully day sightseeing is dedicated to introduce some of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed sites of Kathmandu including Kathmandu Durbar square, Swoyambhunath ,also known as “Monkey Temple”, Pashupatinath–temple of Lord Shiva and Bouddhanath; a Buddhist place. After sightseeing evening will be for trek briefing of the trek.Osvernight at hotel. 
Day 3: Kathmandu-Lukla-Phakding (2652 m/3-4 hrs trek): Take a scenic flight to Lukla. In Lukla you will meet the remaining crews then the trek will start. A gentle walk through DudhKoshi River leads to Phakding where you will stay overnight. 
Day 4: Phakding-Namche Bazar (3440m/5-6 hrs trek.): We follow Dudhkoshi river and pass several suspension bridges. On clear day we can get the first glimpse of Mount Everest on the way to Namche Bazar. Overnight at Namche Bazar. 
Day 5: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazar: Visit Tourist Visit Center to collect the knowledge of Sherpa traditions, cultures and flora and faunas of Khumbu Region.  Hiking up to Thame is next option for the free day. Overnight. 
Day 6 :Dole.(4040m./6-7 hrs trek): From Namche, we first ascend up to Kyanjuma village which offers stunning views of Amadablam, Thamserku and Katenga. From there the trail climb up and reach to Mong La. We then descend down to Dole where we will stay overnight.
Day 7:Machhermo.(4410m./5-6 hrs trek):From Dole, the trail ascends then goes through Lhabarma and Luza and then trek through junipers to Machhermo which offers the marvelous views of Thamserku. Overnight at Machhermo. 

Day 8:Gokyo.(4750.m/6-7 hrs trek): First climb a ridge for an excellent views down the valley to Kangtaiga. The trails then pass Pangkha and descends down to Dudhkoshi river bank. Then steeps up and follows  the valley where we get first lake Longpongo. After walking some distance we get second lake TabocheTsho and a little ahead we will find third lake, where the hidden Gokyo Valley stands. Enjoy exploring wonderful valley with beautiful lakes. Overnight.
Day 9:Thangnak.(4700m/5-6 hrs trek): Hike up top of Gokyo Ri to enjoy the superb views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu, Chagtse, Pumori, Thamserku, K 43, Kangtega, and KusumKanguru. Then trek back to Gokyo for breakfast. Then trek to Thangnak for overnight. 
Day 10:Thangnak-Cho La pass and Dzongla.(4830m./6-7 hrs trek): We start our trek early in the morning and start climb up from Thangnak to challenging Cho La pass. The route can be snow covered, particularly after November which offers some stunning views of AmaDablam. From Pass we take descend trail to Dzongla for overnight.

Day 11:Lobuche.(4910m.):Descend down through easy trail and short ascent takes us to the foot of the Awi Peak which offers the stunning views of Chalotse and Twaoche across the valley.From the valley trek little more to Lobuche for overnight.
Day 12:Lobuche-GorakShep.(5180m.)-Everest Base Camp- Gorakshep (8-9 hrs trek):From Labuche, we first get to Gorakshep (lunch-place), then hike up to Everest Base Camp where we spend some time. After then we will trek back to Gorakshep for overnight.

Day 13: Kalapathar (5545m) Dingboche.(4410m./6-7 hrs): Hike up to Kalapathar-best mountains view point in the world to catch the sunrise views on Everest mountain ranges. Collect the fascinating sunrise view then trek back to Gorakshep for breakfast. Then after descend back to Dingboche for overnight.
Day 14:Tengboche.(3810m./5-6 hrs trek): From Dingboche we take descent trail  through Imja valley and then cross several small Sherpa settlements. Further we walk through dense rhododendron and pine forest to reach Tengboche. Tengboche itself is wonderful view point and has largest monastery of Everest region. Overnight at Tengboche.
Day 15:Monju.(2780m./5-6 hrs trek): From Tengboche the trail first descent down to Phungithanga. The stunning views of Mount AmaDablamm and Khangeta mountains and Tengboche monastery also in our glimpse along the way.  We cross Namche Bazar and take steep down trail to Monju for overnight. 
16:Lukla.(2810m./4-5 hrs trek): From Monju we will take descend down trail and will trek to Lukla. In evening we will join farewell dinner with our porters at Lukla. Overnight at Lukla.
Day 17:Kathmandu.(1334m.): Fly back to Kathmandu with an early flight. In Kathmandu you can do some last minute shopping Thamel. Overnight .
Day 18: Departure Day: Our representative you escort you to Tribhuvan International Airport to catch your returning flight. We hope to see you again in Nepal.
