Overview

Langtang Helambu Trekking is one of the finest trekking route in Langtang Region which combines visiting two wonderful villages of Langtang. During the trekking one can collect the awe-inspiring views of the snowcapped mountains including Langtang Lirung, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal, Yala Peak and other neighboring mountains.
Tibetan like culture, traditions and the living style of the people is another tick of Langtang Helambu Trek. The inclusion of the Langtang National Park offers to see some of the endangered Red Panda, Musk deer, Rhesus Monkey, Common Langur, Black Bear, Himalayan Thar and more. Amazing 13 days Langtang Helambu Trekking also offers to explore mountain lake Gosaikunda, which is located at 4380m and also advances to see some of the world’s deadliest glaciers.  
Best Langtang Helambu Trek seasons are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November).

 

Itinerary

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and preparation: Full day sightseeing is dedicated to introduce four of the UNESCO World Heritage listing sites in Kathmandu including, Soyambhunath, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Enjoy exploring. Overnight.
Day 2:Syabrubesi.(1420m./8-9 hours)-  Take an early morning drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi via Trishuli Bazar. You will stay overnight at Syabrubesi this day.  
Day 3:Lama Hotel.(2470m./4-5 hours trek): A gentle trekking from Syabrubesi passing small villages and some wonderful water streams leads to Lama Hotel for the overnight.
Day 4:Langtang Village.(3430m./5-6 hours trek)-From Lama Hotel the trail steep up. Following the Langtang Khola to Ghora Tabela we continue our trekking collecting the glimpses of Langtang Lirung to get to Langtang village which an amazing Tibetan like settlement. Overnight. 
Day 5:Kyanjin Gompa.(3730m./3-4 hours trek): After spending a wonderful day and Langtang village. Today we will pass some streams, yak pastures and small but wonderful Tamang villages on the way up of Kyanjin Gompa which is the stunning view point for Langtang range and Langhisa Himal. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa. 
Day 6: Explore Kyanjin Gompa.(3730m.)- We take a rest day in Kyanjin Gompa. After breakfast we will hike up to Tserko Ri (5,000 m) for mesmerizing views of  Langtang range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji and also watch Lirung Glacier. After lunch, visit Yak cheese factory and taste fresh yak cheese. Enjoy your day. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa. 

Day 7:Lama Hotel.(2470m./4-5 hours): Retrace same way back to Lama Hotel.Overnight at Lama hotel.

Day 8:Thulo Syabru.(2130m/5-6 hours trek.)- The trail first goes to Bamboo Lodge, from where we take ascent trail and further trek to Thulo Syabru which is a typical Sherpa settlement. Overnight at Thulo Syabru. 
Day 9:Laurebina.(3900m/6-7 hours trek):The trail from Thulo Syabru first climb up to Dursagang and then enters to dense rhododendron forest to take us Chandan Bari. From there we continue our trekking to Laurebina via Chalang Pati. In Laurebina we can enjoy the amazing views of Annapurna, Manslum Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung Himal. Overnight.  

Day 10:GoshainKunda.(4380m./5-6 hours trek)- Hike to Gosaikunda Lake. Along the way we can see two beautiful lakes which includes Saraswoti Kunda and Bhairab Kunda. On the way up we can see the wonderful views of mountains too. Overnight.
Day 11:Ghopte.(3430m./6-7 hours trek) : The trail from Gosaikunda directs north and ascents up to challenging Laurebina La Pass (4610m). As the pass is a bit challenging we will cross it slowly and carefully. After the succession of the pass we will further trek to Phedi and will continue our trek to Ghopte. Overnight.
Day 12:Thadepati.(3510m./3-4 hours trek):The trail from Ghopte crosses wonderful landscapes and will gently leads us to Thadepati. Overnight.
Day 13:Kutumsang.(2470m./5-6 hours trek): Trek to Kutumsang via Magnengoth. Kutumsang is a wonderful Tamang village where we can explore the local cultures and can enjoy the local hospitability. Overnight.
Day 14:Chisopani.(2215m./4-5 hours trek)-Trek down to Chisapani. From Chisapani one can collect some amazing views of the mountains too. Overnight.
Day 15:Kathmandu.(1334m.)-First descent down to Sundraijal, from there you will drive back to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, do some last minute shopping. Overnight.
. Day 16: Fly Back Home: You will be transfer to Kathmandu Airport to catch the returning flight to home. Hope to see you again in Nepal.
